Your Role

Gensler is seeking talented Junior Technical Designers for opportunities in our Denver or Phoenix offices to take their career to the next step and grow within our firm. Our Critical Facilities practice area is unique, having the ability to draw expertise from and collaborate with all of Gensler’s practice areas to serve clients based on the client’s history. For example, building teams of experts in Gensler’s Critical Facilities and Health and Wellness Practices to deliver data centers for healthcare providers. Beyond data centers, our critical facilities team delivers projects for high-performance/research/supercomputing, command and control centers, SCIFs, distribution and logistics, high-tech manufacturing, and various other technology-rich project types.

What You Will Do

  • Work with project teams in all project phases, including conceptual design, schematic design, design development, construction documents and implementation

  • Collaborate with the design team, clients, consultants, contractors, fabricators, regulatory agencies and other vendors to meet overall project objectives

  • Develop and participate in internal and client presentations

  • Participate in the construction administration process ensuring the successful delivery of the design intent

  • Contribute to office activities, initiatives, and learning programs

Your Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Architecture from a professionally accredited program

  • 1 - 5 years of related technical architecture project experience

  • Basic knowledge or interest in Critical Facilities/Data Center projects

  • Organized, creative, collaborative, and independent with ability to work on multiple projects at the same time.

  • Strong graphic and visualization skills to communicate design ideas

  • Proficiency in Revit required

  • Experience with, and passion for utilizing other digital design tools

  • Passion for sustainable practices and interest in working towards certification (LEED, FitWell, etc.)

  • Beginning of State Licensure is a plus

*For candidates considering our Denver, CO location*: Compensation is based upon experience and estimated range is $55,000 - $65,000 annually + bonuses + benefits.
