Job Description

As a Senior UX Designer you have a solid understanding of the user-centered design process and bring expertise to clients via a wide range of UX activities and deliverables. Strong design-thinking skills coupled with expertise in design, information architecture, user flows, intuitive interactions, and low-fidelity prototypes are essential for this role. You will be responsible for establishing UX guidance and leadership on projects, and acting as a champion for modern, people-first, customer-led experiences.

YOUR ROLE: Senior UX Designer

While there will never be a typical day at Accenture Interactive, we have highlighted a few of the key skills and responsibilities for success.

You will work with strategists, data, user research, clients and internal teams to inform your overall design approach and rationale. You will work as part of a team-oriented design process to translate and iterate ideas into elegant design solutions.

Be a Maker

You may geek out over typography, your collection of Sketch plug-ins, or how wonderful your latest sitemap structure looks. That’s ok, we appreciate those things too. Here you can use your design passion and attention to detail to visualize solutions through user flows, sitemaps, sketches, wireframes, and prototypes. If you are knowledgeable in creating design system in Sketch, Figma, or Adobe XD, all the better.

Be a Leader

Senior UX Designers play a critical role in the design process bringing abstract design objectives to life in a visual form. We balance (at times conflicting) priorities between the brand, people, and technology, and we start the process of aligning stakeholders and team members towards solutions. In this capacity, it’s critical to collaborate across teams, be capable of understanding differing points of view, design and rationalize with conviction, and always champion the user. Gaining support from clients, peers and internal teams through confidence and design leadership and is a valued trait at Accenture Interactive.

Basic Qualifications

  • At least 3 years in a client-facing, Senior UX Designer or Senior Information Architect role

  • Bachelor’s degree in design, fine arts, human-computer interaction (HCI), or equivalent (minimum 12 years) work experience

  • At least 3 years of an online portfolio or samples of work demonstrating solid experience designing responsive web and mobile applications

Preferred Qualifications

  • Excellent communication and presentation skills; able to collaborate well and clearly articulate design rationale to clients and team members

  • Experience working with and/or creating design systems in Sketch and/or Figma; capable of developing intuitive navigation; possess solid prototyping skills

  • Experience conducting user research or highly familiar with the research process and capable of planning effective studies when needed

  • Experience designing for large B2B and technology clients.

  • Agency experience is strongly preferred
