Position Summary: Electrical Underground Senior Designer

Aquawolf, LLC is looking for a motivated individual with intermediate-to-advanced Electric distribution/transmission underground design skills. This role will be responsible for developing electric distribution/transmission underground CAD designs at the direction of the Underground Design Manager, developing design standards and templates, executing Aquawolfs QA/QC program, and training new underground designers and drafters. This role will also be responsible for participating in the on-going growth and development of design practices, and data management. This role will report to the San Diego, CA or Denver, CO office.

Essential Functions & Responsibilities

• Essential in the execution of underground design projects in AutoCAD Civil3D.
• Collaborate in the development and implementation of a training program to develop the design team and on-board new design employees
• Build Bill of Materials from proposed design
• Understand and implement client and industry standards
• Participate in the quality assurance/quality control program to deliver industry-leading design products
• Closely coordinate with engineers and managers in other Aquawolf service lines to provide cross-functional support

Other Responsibilities & Duties

• Occasional travel may be required to support design services. Travel may include air travel out of state.
• A wide range of creativity and latitude is expected

Required Job Qualifications

• 5+ years of electric distribution or transmission experience for public utilities
• 5+ years of Civil 3D experience
• Must possess a valid drivers license
• Must be able to demonstrate the ability to perform all of the essential functions of this position.

Desired Job Qualifications

• Associates degree from an accredited institution (project experience can substitute for degree)
